Sometimes there are emergencies in which military or other personnel are allowed to travel for free by a gesture of an airline. But, there are a unique instances where customers find tricks to getting through airline policies to allow them to receive a ticket free of charge. Flights with more ticket holders than the number of seats is one option. What you do is wait until the flight is full and then check in. Next, demand that you receive a free ticket on the next flight that is leaving. This usually happens on foreign flights, which use more than one travel agency to issue tickets. Missing a connecting flight can also allow you to receive a free ticket. There is another error from the airlines that opens up a loophole for potential free tickets. But, according to airline policies, no customer can insist on getting a free ticket. The most common techinque used is to simply spend frequent flyer mileage to get free airfare. It is not exactly free of charge, since they are miles you have earned. These are more like bonus tickets for using an airline several times over. Sometimes you will find cruises that offer free airline tickets along with the cruise price. It is a good technique used by cruise tours to attract more customers. You might find a good deal with these, just be sure to check out how nice the cruise is and compare it to the overall price. Hotels and other tour businesses will offer the same thing as cruise tours if you purchase a certain package, including several things. Of course, these are not exactly free tickets, but they are close. |
